13. What About Bob? (Bill Murray was in What About Bob? with Richard Dreyfuss)
This week's game is 'Connect the Actors'. Can you connect Tom Cruise to Richard Dreyfuss through films? The answer for for each question will be the movie title that connects the actor for that number with the following actor. Just in case my directions sound as bad as I think they do, here's an example series:
1. George Clooney
2. Brad Pitt
3. Susan Sarandon
4. Sean Penn....
The answers :
1.
(Think - George Clooney stars with Brad Pitt in...) Ocean's 11
2.
(Think - Brad Pitt stars with Susan Sarandon in...) Thelma and Louise
I realize that some of these might have more than one answer, so any true connection that I can prove with IMDB will be counted as a correct answer. Also, please note that there are 14 actors listed, but only thirteen answers. The thirteenth answer will be the movie that stars both Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss.
Please do not leave your answers in the comments section. This time, if you would like to play, just leave me a comment letting me know, and then e-mail me your answers at: holly_f_smith@yahoo.com. I'll post the answers on Monday morning. Good luck and have fun!

I thought this meme on Misty Dawn's site and it looked like fun. So, I decided to play along!
It's pretty simple, just use the first letter of your name to answer the questions. They have to be real answers though, nothing made up and you can't use your own name as an answer. Since my name is Holly all my answers have to start with an "H".
I'm going to tag Anna, Becca, Kara, Michelle, and Alison to participate.

With my huge love for all things having to do with entertainment, I naturally love to play trivia games. I'm always trying to find quizzes about the shows and movies that I enjoy. I even love Trivial Pursuit, or any board game that relates to entertainment. Did I mention that I'm a bit competitive? (Sigh...) Imagine a place where all that seemingly useless information you have stored in your brain could actually help you win big money....Well it's here! Consider how much you know about celebrity gossip, music, and sports...Well now you can put it to good use! Are you the annoying person that must shout out , "That's the guy that played _____ in ________!" If so, then you're like me, and you are going to love this new opportunity!
Just imagine my excitement when I found www.TriviaOnNet.com! Now I can play trivia games at any time! In this community, you can play against others, just for fun, or you can play with money! The topics include movies, sports, music, and just general knowledge. My husband is a whiz at sports trivia, so I know he'll love it. Seriously, when we watch sports trivia game shows on ESPN, he really scares me with the stuff he has stored in that head of his. Sound familiar? There are even jackpot games where you're playing for hundreds or even thousands of dollars! The trivia software has a great look! It's also really easy to use. Once you become a member, you can create a buddy list of those with whom you'd like to interact. You have nothing to worry about in terms of fairness. TriviaOnNet.com provides a safe, fun, regulated, and secure environment. They have their own servers which guarantee automated game results without the risk of human tampering.
I cannot wait to get started playing in the online, multiplayer trivia tournaments. Then, I can prove once and for all, that reading all those magazines and spending all those hours on the internet really did serve a purpose!
Sandee at Comedy Plus tagged me for this meme. Thanks Sandee! What a fun way to learn about other blogs and find out why they were started. It is always fun to meet new people through thier blogs. Mel at Monday Morning Power has created this meme for a way for us to promote our blogs and share in some link love.
We have a voice;
We must be heard;
Therefore we blog;
Now spread the word!
This meme is based on a recent post that was conducted asking the question “Why do you Blog?” and the rewrite “Why do you Blog? - Reworked.” The purpose of this meme is to tell our tales by spreading the reasons that we blog to as many sites as possible. We get to explain ourselves, direct traffic to our site and highlight our most important, most representative or most relevant post in an SEO favorable format. This will be a positive experience for everyone who wants to get involved. This will enable you to create a short advertisement for your site that will be spread across the blogesphere; a growing directory of blogs.
This is an open meme. You do not have to be tagged to join in. All you have to do is follow the rules.
Please let me know when you have added your site by leaving a comment on “Complete List” with a link to your post. This will insure an up-to-date list, giving you even greater distribution. You then have the option of copying the growing list back to your site.
| What Your Halloween Habits Say About You |
![]() No one quite understands you, but everyone also sort of worships you. And that's exactly how you like it. Your inner child is open minded, playful, and adventurous. Your fears are irrational and varied. It's hard to predict what you may be afraid of on any given day. You're logical, rational, and not easily effected. Not a lot scares you... especially when it comes to the paranormal. You are a total overachiever and workaholic. You're the type of person who plans their elaborate Halloween costume weeks in advance. |
Winnie the Pooh is one of my son's favorite books. Sometimes, I think that if I hear, "Tigger is ever so bouncy," one more time, I might just throw his book away. Just Kidding! But, seriously, I grew up with the 100 Acre bunch, and I'm glad he will too. My mom even decorated my baby room with Winnie the Pooh, so it's in his blood.

Frigga, at Any Apples, has been doing lyric contests for quite a while. You should definitely check out her site. I love contests that pertain to music, television, or movies. So, I decided to make my own. I am going to show you lyrics to three songs. Leave me a comment with your answers. I will announce the winners that got each one correct first, and link to your site! Good luck!
Song 1:
It's easier not to be wise
and measure these things by your brains
I sank into Eden with you
alone in the church by and by
I'll read to you here, save your eyes
you'll need them, your boat is at sea
your anchor is up, you've been swept away
and the greatest of teachers won't hesitate
to leave you there, by yourself, chained to fate
Song 2:
Lately I've been feeling low

Come away to something better
What I want is what I've not got
But what I need is all around me
Reaching searching never stop
And I'll say...
Song 3:
One time a thing occurred to me
What's real, and what's for sale?
Blew a kiss and tried to take it home
It isn't you, isn't me
Search for things you can't see
Going blind, out of reach

After playing Skittles' Movie Quiz last week, I had to make my own. Guess as many movie titles as you can, and then e-mail me your answers to holly_f_smith@yahoo.com
Please leave me a comment with your URL as well....but no answers! I will post the results in a few days, with links to those that do the best. Thanks for playing! I'm curious to see if anyone can get all eleven correct!!
Alison has tagged me for the FIVE BEST NIGHTS, SO FAR Meme. The rules: list the 5 best nights that you can recall and then tag four other people and see if the meme can continue.
1. The night that we came home from the NICU with my son.
After 70 days of watching him being poked and prodded (countless IVs, surgery, feeding tubes, etc.) the drive home was just surreal. I don't think I've ever experienced a 'high' like that. It was so nice to hold him when he wasn't attached to some kind of monitoring machine! Pulling off all those little sticky leads off his little chest was so exciting.....even the nurse was crying....just thinking about how happy we were makes me tear up right now!
2.The night that my husband proposed. I knew he was going to do it (never a good secret keeper) but I remember every single thing about it (what I was wearing, what I ate, everything). We drove to Galveston and went out to dinner. Was that really nine years ago?
3. When we went to Maui in 2003. This was, by far, the most beautiful place I've ever seen. One day we rented a "GEO Tracker" and drove all over the island. We found remote waterfalls and saw things that we'll probably never see again in our lives. It was everything I dreamed it would be....I had never been snorkeling before...so to do it for the first time here was such a sight to see. We even have pictures of sea turtles swimming by us. I'm glad we went when I was still working....I doubt we'll be able to go there again : ).
4. After we were married we flew to Colorado for our honeymoon. It was the first time I'd been there. I saw mountains and snow for the first time (even though it was June). What an amazing adventure.
5. Other things just don't seem that exciting compared to these. But here are some fun nights I can remember: U2 concert in college, when my high school football team went to the state finals, other people's weddings, my parent's 25th anniversary party, going out on my first date with my husband, and my college graduation.
I just discovered these fun little quizzes over at Gattina's Writer Cramps. What a fun way to start the week, right? You might not find the secret of life, but you just might find out something you didn't want wanted to know....
Am-I-Dumb.com - Are you dumb?

You're a Flamingo!
Pink is your favorite color! Always looking to shock others, you are absurdly thin and absurdly outlandish in your tastes. People come from all over to see you, but as long as you've got a swimming pool, you're pretty satisfied wherever you end up. And boy, do you love shrimp! When you really get going, you can sound like Forrest Gump talking about shrimp...
Take the Animal Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.
(I must confess that the first time I took this it said I was a RAT....but there's no way I was accepting that answer - REDO!)

You're One Hundred Years of Solitude!
by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Lonely and struggling, you've been around for a very long time. Conflict has filled most of your life and torn apart nearly everyone you know. Yet there is something majestic and even epic about your presence in the world. You love life all the more for having seen its decimation. After all, it takes a village.
Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.
(Of course I would be one of the Oprah's Book Club books I've never of)
Here's one more I found at Skittles' Place.

5. I know all the words to Steel Magnolias. It is the best movie of all time. I don't care what any men think on this one.....
6.I still think George Michael is my favorite singer. Despite all of the 'controversy' that surrounds him....I love all his CDs.
7. My first concert was to see "The Monkees" at Astroworld in Houston. (revival tour?)
8. I really like my big feet. I don't know why. I just do.
Now I'll tag: Anna, Katy, Becca, Comedy Plus, and Shell
